ANALYSIS OF DARK

Image
Dark is an original German series and first one to be on Netflix. The story of the series shows the sudden disappearance of a character in the forest and the dejà vu moments of certain situations that happened 30 years ago. One of the characters was sent a letter from his dead father explaining the situation with a bundle equipment to help him find the lost character. With the help of the equipment and his dad's directions written in the letter, he was capable of travellin through time and found the character. However, he got trapped in the 80's with no way out. This is the end of season 1 as it is a new series. In the first scene, there is a close up on the character Jonas (aged 16-18) with to create mystery and tension among the audience. There is a cut on his lip to show a situation which he went through to give him a more "tough" and "fearless" impression. ANALYSIS OF THE WALKING DEAD

Image
The Walking Dead is an American series that starts off with a zombie apocalypse. People that have survived this apocalypse fight "walkers" and other groups of people to survive looking for food, shelter and ammunition. The clothes they are wearing and wounds on their bodies represents the rough times they have been going through trying to find Beth and get Noah back home. It is shown by the rips, holes, dirt blood and sweat stains on their clothes , which also shows the period of time in which they haven't found a proper shelter with food and water. The scene starts off with a canted angle and low-key lighting to create an unceasing effect among the audience and also includes a master shot to show all the characters in the room. This scene is when Noah is changing from Rick's group to a different group in exchange  for Beth. As he does this, he gives Rick the gun he gave Noah to learn how to protect himself. The environment is tense and the characters a...

OUR LOGO

Image
THE CREATION OF OUR LOGOS Firstly, we searched for a logo maker free and uncomplicated to use.  My team mate and I found many and ended up using LOGOJOY .  This website gave us many varieties of logos to choose from These are our ideas for our FINAL LOGO , including an illustration of film production elements of a clapperboard and an audience in front of a screen. THE FINAL DECISION AS OUR FINAL LOGO, WE CHOSE THIS ONE BEING THAT IT LOOKED MORE SOPHISTICATED THAN THE REST. IT INCLUDES THE NAME OF OUR COMPANY AND AN ICON OF AN AUDIENCE IN FRONT OF A SCREEN. WE ALSO CHOSE THIS LOGO INSTEAD OF THE REST DUE TO THE BLACK SCREEN WE INCLUDED IN THE CREATION OF THE LOGO.

PLOT

WE HAVE 4 DIFFERENT IDEAS FOR OUR FILM OPENING FEAR : A girl who's worst nightmares became the only thing she could see because she had been cursed and needed to find the remedy to get rid of the curse. BLACKOUT : This is about a girl crossing through a forest as a short cut, not knowing that she was being followed the whole time by her secretly obsessed admirer. The scene ends in the girl being hit in the hed by a rock by the stalker.  THE SHINING : a girl went to her friend's house and noticed that the door had been forced open. When she looked inside of the house, hr friend's body was on the floor and a bright light blinded her. LOST : This is about a girl who is a ghost and lives in a hospital, even though she thinks she isn't dead. She lives there because her parents left her there when she was dying as a baby and wants revenge on them.

SOUND

Image
This is important to create the correct environment and emotions for the audience. It is used to  ₓ Simulate reality. ₓ Help the creator create a mood among the audience In films, the 3 following types of sound are important because: Non-diegetic: This is the type of sound that characters cannot hear and is only heard the background. It sets the scene for the audience and creates the genre expected by the audience like suspense music for a thriller film, or happy, upbeat music for a comedy film. Diegetic: This is the sound type that characters can hear like other character`s voices, explosions... this type of sound that can include the audience in conversations and make it more realistic Co ntrapuntal sound: which is a way to confuse the audience, but also add mystery to the scene, like when someone is changing the radio in a tense situation. These types of sound are important and form up the previous sounds: 🔽 DIALO...

OPENING CREDITS

Image
To start off with, the definition of opening credits or opening titles is a list shown at the beginning of a film with the most important people listed. Some are designed -with or without music in the background- as a text superimposed on a blank screen or on pictures, and others are sometimes on top of an action. Another type of opening credits is called an opening title sequence, in which the credits are built into a sequence of their own. Here is an example of an opening title sequence of the series " The Walking Dead" : The opening credits of The Walking Dead change throughout the whole series. Most of the time, they relate the names of the actors with they personal assets of the series like guns, watches, photos... Also, the opening credits shows locations seen throughout the season and change the next season, showing new images, including their theme song in the background and title of series. Since the 1980's, the opening credits have presented the most...
