LOGO RESEARCH
In this class we will be learning about different popular logos. These logos represent the company and are normally presented at the start/end of a movie/game.
WALT DISNEY
This brand is one of the world's most popular producers and entertainment providers founded by Walt Elias Disney. His logo has always (since 1983) consisted of the words WALT DISNEY PICTURES in this format. This was inspired by his own signature
Later, in 1985, the logo added a castle with a star flying over it
They would have a basic animation for the logo
Disney makes variations for different films (not all films) by changing the castle to match the one in the film, the star going over the castle, the colours of the logo...
The logo has been improved to look more realistic as the animation is more developed and colour has been intensified.
The logo has gone from this in 1983 To this in 2017
20th CENTURY FOX
This brand was created in 1914, founded by Darryl F.Zanuck, William Fox and Joseph M. Schenck. This logo consists of the writing 20TH CENTURY FOX on display with lights and music in the background and has been created through computers, like the Disney logo.
The logo has varied a lot as the years have gone by. In 1914, the logo started off as FOX FILM PRESENTS with music in the background.
Later, in 1933, the logo changed into the recognisable logo with the logo on display with the lights and music in the background.
From 1914 to 1936 the logos didn't have colour, and in 1936 the new logo with colour was released.

WARNER BROS. PICTURES Sam, Jack, Albert and Harry Warner
This brand was founded in 1923 by brothers Sam, Jack, Albert & Harry Warner. The brand started as the text WARNER BROS. CLASSICS OF THE SCREEN.
Later in 1929-1935 , the logo changed into a shield with a drawing in the middle with the initials W.B
As the years passed the logo changed a banner with the words WARNER BROS. VITAPHONE PRODUCTIONS. This happened when Warner Bros. created nearly 1000 short subjects (video that isn't long enough for it to be considered a feature film). This banner was the first to include colour lasted from 1929-1937. The theme songs also varied as the logos changed throughout the years.
Fast forward to the 1960's, animation and cartoons were now being presented with alternations to the logo and the theme song mainly remained as the usual theme song, sometimes including the words "This is the Bugs Bunny Show" and the classic "That's all Folks!" in the more recent ending videos.
The first logos to start the Television Division cartoon segment of Warner bros. consisted of the W.B logo which opens like a door to present the famous character of Bugs Bunny eating his signature snack; a carrot.
Later, when Warner Bros. is adopted by Seven Arts the logo changed to include a 7 into it (from 1967-1970)
From 1968 To 1970
In 1972, the logo changed once again as Warner Bros. Television, to a simple curved square with three thick lines in the middle representing a "W".
In animation, there were alternations, resulting in the character being included into the picture again.
From 1975 To 1983
After these years and this logo, the logo changed to the recognizable logo with the gold border and blue background, including the clouds behind the logo
Finally, Warner Bros animation turned from 1988-present has changed very much, including their logo in the credits
From 2003 To PRESENT
